IT'S OFFICIAL NOW!

Fred went & asked my dad for my hand on April 19th & of course dad said yes.

Last night, April 29th... I got my ring!

Here's the play by play for the evening...

After work I ran a few errands, got home around 6ish.  My friend Pam was going out of town today, so I was headed over to her house to see her routine w/feeding her horse so I can feed while she's gone this weekend.  In the meantime, Fred went to the grocery store to grab some steaks & to rent a movie, so we could go over to Joe & Tina's for a dinner/movie date night.  As soon as I got home from Pam's we left & headed to Joe & Tina's house.

When dinner was almost ready, Fred got on one knee & asked me to marry him as he handed me the ring.
TOTALLY AWESOME!

Of course this was a no-brainer, I've been waiting for awhile now so I was more than excited & ready to slip the ring on my finger and say HELL YES!

God I love this man so much.

THE RING IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!  TOTALLY AMAZING!

Now we have the excitement of planning a wedding ahead of us.

little katie opal

Ok, I know... this is the second post this week on little Katie Opal.

I think I've said this before, but I'm a very proud great-aunt again!

There's no crime in that now is there?  Nope... I didn't think so.

Fred & I went to visit Katie Opal for the first time today & awe she's just the sweetest most precious little thing ever.  And oh how I love her so!

She looks a lot like my niece Rachel when she was born, definitely the hair for sure.  Rachel had a head full of brownish hair & so does Katie Opal.  She looks like her in the face too.

I tried to take her home w/me but for some reason my niece seems partial to her.  Hmmm... I guess that's because she's a proud new mommy.  Maybe she'll change her mind after little Katie isn't allowing her to get any beauty rest.

words of encouragement

Everyone loves to hear words of encouragement when your having moments in your life where things are spiraling out of control.

My BFF "Kat" always seems to know exactly what to say & always has the perfect timing too.  I guess that's how things work after you've known someone your entire life & been as close as we've been.

Someone who knows you almost better then you know yourself.

Someone who you know without a doubt or a blink of an eye they're always right beside you through what ever you are dealing with throughout life... bad times and good times.

I would say it's like taking vows for marriage in a way... til death do us part... but that's just simply not true.
Our friendship won't end because of death, our friendship will continue on in Heaven as well.

Kat... thank you for just being you & for your encouraging words at always the most perfect times throughout my life.  I honestly don't know what I would do without you.  I'm honored to have such a wonderful friend by my side & I love you.

Monday, April 19th - Katie Opal is officially here now - 7lbs 1oz!
